Healed
from Crohn's Disease
I first had symptoms of Crohn's Disease when I was twelve
year old. I know that now. At the time, the doctors just
said it was a growing process. When I was in my late teens
the doctors told me that after I had children my system
would straighten out. It was not until my twenties that I
consulted other medical doctors and they discovered that I
had had Crohn's disease since I was twelve.
Typical treatment for Crohn's disease consists of high doses
of antibiotics and very dangerous amounts of steroids for
long periods of times. Hospitalization is sometimes
necessary. When a person has so much pain and dysentery it
becomes easier not to eat.
I went from doctor to doctor trying technique after
technique to deal with the problem. The doctor I was seeing
had me on a large dosage of Pregdzione, Questran and
antibiotics. I was not getting better. He put me in the
hospital to be fed the drug intravenously. After two weeks
stay in the hospital, I persuaded him to release me.
In the Fall of 1990, I began to pray for a healing. Each
night when I went to bed I would plug an earphone in my ear
and listen to tapes on healing and positive images. I prayed
that God would give me wisdom and understanding so that I
could do His will. I prayed for an answer. I was so
discouraged that I even prayed that the Lord would take my
life. I felt that my life was worthless to myself, to my
family and to others.
Riding in the car was a chore. I sat in the car with my
hands under my buttocks for shock absorbers. A little bump
in the road and I would scream in agony. My husband, Dick
would say, "I am sorry, honey." And I would tell
him that it wasn't his fault. It is just the road. Roads
have bumps in them. But he knew I was in pain and felt real
bad about it.
I wanted the Lord to take me home. I would tell Him, "I
am no good here. Just take me home."
Then it happened! Early in 1991, our cleaning lady, Marie
invited me to a healing service that her church was putting
on. She asked me if I believed that Jesus could heal me? I
said, "Yes, if He chooses".
On May 29, 1991, a couple, Charles & Frances Hunter,
from Texas, were going to put on a series of meetings to
instruct the members of Marie's Church learn to heal the
sick by setting up healing teams.
I was invited to step up to the platform by Charles and
Francis that day and when Frances laid her hand on me, she
prayed for my intestines to be healed so that they were the
soft pink color that they should be. She prayed in Jesus
name.
As soon as I came to, I realized that I had no pain. I mean
nothing at all. None! Frances told me to do something I
couldn't do before. I replied, "I am standing here
without pain."
I wanted to run over to my husband. I needed to be with him.
I needed to tell him that it really happened. I was healed.
Twenty-eight years of pain and it was totally gone. The
swelling and inflammation was going down.
I know that Jesus healed yesterday, heals today and will
heal again tomorrow. That is why, through faith in my Lord
Jesus, I was healed on May 29, 1991. I thank Jesus for
giving His life for me.

What is Crohn's Disease?
Crohn's disease causes
inflammation in the small intestine. Crohn's disease usually
occurs in the lower part of the small intestine, called the
ileum, but it can affect any part of the digestive tract,
from the mouth to the anus. The inflammation extends deep
into the lining of the affected organ. The inflammation can
cause pain and can make the intestines empty frequently,
resulting in diarrhea...
